Earn In-Person & Virtual Contact Hours!


Each year we are approved by several licensing boards and accrediting bodies. In many instances, these approvals are transferrable to those who may be licensed in other states! If your state is not identified below we encourage you to contact your licensing board as it is likely they will accept all or most of the hours for this conference!

NATIONAL BOARD FOR CERTIFIED COUNSELORS (NBCC)

  • “The 2024 Lowcountry Mental Health Conference has been approved by NBCC for NBCC credit. Sessions approved for NBCC credit are clearly identified. Mental Health HEROES is solely responsible for all aspects of the program. NBCC Approval No. SP-4548.”
  • 21 of the 22 total sessions offered between July 24 and 26th have been approved for a total of up to 14 contact hours.
  • Not Approved: The one session not approved for NBCC credits is “The Poet’s Keys: A Guide to Unlocking Growth” with Tucker Bryant on July 25, 2024. (1.25 contact hours)

PSYCHIATRISTS AND OTHER M.D.’s/D.O.’s

  • The Medical University of South Carolina designates this live activity for a maximum of 15.25 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
  • Accreditation: The Medical University of South Carolina is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for Physicians.

SOUTH CAROLINA BOARD OF SOCIAL WORK EXAMINERS (SC LLR)

  • All of the formal training sessions at the Lowcountry Mental Health Conference have been approved by the South Carolina Department of Mental Health for CEUs. The South Carolina Department of Mental Health is approved to provide CEUs by the LLR.
  • Up to 2 Core Social Work Contact Hours (taught by a social worker).
  • Up to 13.25 General Social Work Hours for in-person. 11.25 General Social Work Hours for virtual.

PSYCHOLOGISTS (PhD, PsyD)

(Approved for all sessions for 2024!)

  • The Medical University of South Carolina’s Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences Office of Continuing Education approves this entire in-person activity for a maximum of 23.75 APA CE credit(s). Individual in-person attendees are only approved for a maximum of 15.25 APA CE credit(s). The Medical University of South Carolina’s Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences Office of Continuing Education also approves this entire virtual activity for a maximum of 13.25 APA CE credit(s). Individual virtual attendees are approved for a maximum of 13.25 APA CE credit(s).

Georgia COUNSELOR and MARRIAGE & FAMILY THERAPIST

  • The state of Georgia has recognized and accepted our courses for GA Licensed Counselors and LMFT’s in the past because of our approvals through the South Carolina Labor and Licensing Review Board, through NBCC approval, and through our approvals for physicians and psychologists by the American Psychiatric Association and the American Psychological Association.
  • We recommend you confirm with your state licensing board to be certain, however, past years have shown us that GA does recognize our sessions for credits.

Georgia Licensed SOCIAL WORKER
